Well, we have debated long and hard trying to figure out an attainable distance for the average runner to be able to run at Kipchoge's 26.2 marathon pace, 4:34 per mile!!!
How many human's can actually run a mile under 5 minutes (not this one)? Well, at first we thought 200 meters was a good challenge, but then we realized that's not realistic!!!
So we have decided that we will be doing a 100 meter challenge with a running start to see who can meet/beat 17 seconds.
Everyone who attempts this crazy race will receive a prize, and those who meet the challenge will be given a "special" prize!
How it will work:
Meet at Chainline Brewing Company at 6 p.m. and jog down to Crestwoods Park. The race will take place on the track. Once complete we will jog back to Chainline to celebrate our own personal victory or continue to celebrate Eliud Kipchoge Sub-2 Hour Marathon!
(approx. 4 miles total)
